Oh man words can’t describe this heavenly Portugal wedding! – But, I’ll try anyway! After getting engaged Chris and Genevieve decided to get married in a country that they had many fond memories traveling through. They found the Hotel Rural Casa Dos Viscondes Da Varzea in the Douro Valley and knew it was the right place. Terracotta roofs, courtyards covered in vines, old stone steps leading down past tomato patches to a glittering swimming pool. It was the perfect place to gather friends and family from London, New Zealand and Europe for a few days of celebrations in the sun.
From their base in London, Chris and Gen planned everything meticulously with so many creative details that they made themselves. My favourite being the knotted macrame tapestry that hung from branches in the grove of trees they got married under. Gen wore a tasselled Grace Loves Lace gown and looked gorgeous in the most emotional walk down the aisle I have ever seen
