Nico and Graham’s East London wedding was a joyous, authentic and heart singingly good! These two kiwis decided to forgo the big traditional celebration back in the homeland and have a simple, kick-ass wedding in Hackney with their London family.
Nico wore a gold sequinned cape and rich red floral crown by Rebel Rebel Florist and Graham’s shirt was adorned with sunflowers. They were casual crossed with fabulous, and so them. Luckily, Hackney Town Hall is a 5 minute walk from their apartment. The ceremony was so sweet and intimate, not what you would expect from a registry office. The celebrant said she was blown away by the love!
After the ceremony we grabbed a few bottles of bubbly and gallivanted through London Fields down to Broadway Market, stopping off at one of Nico and Graham’s favourite local haunts, the Fin and Flounder for some freshly shucked oysters.
Next up we jumped in some ubers bound for Veneta in Soho for a luxurious long lunch of Italian inspired shared plates and hilarious speeches. Finished off with a decadent cake by Genevieve the Baker. As the evening drew in we waved the lovers off in the direction of Heathrow to catch a flight to Norway. What a way to end a magic day!
