What a day! Never before have I seen a bride ride up to her wedding on her beloved pet horse, and do it with so much style! Barefoot and beautiful in soft layers of transparent tulle by Emma Beaumont on the pebbled shores of Pett Level Beach. Along with her 12 bridesmaids in shades of pale green Helen was a vision. Her new husband Zac definitely thought so too.

The ceremony took place at a tiny chapel on the beach which could only accommodate their closest family and friends.  The rest of their guests joined them at Lime Cross Nursery which Helen runs with her sister Victoria. This East Sussex Wedding party were transported back to the nursery in a bright blue and yellow, vintage, open top double decker bus. Dodging low hanging branches, enjoying a blustery wind through our hair and cheering the driver on as the bus struggled up hills.

Lime Cross Nursery is an idyllic setting and they often host other weddings, but Helen and Zac wanted something unique and personal that speaks to their love of the place. So they cleaned out the old barn to create a dining area and had drinks and dancing next to the lake. The nursery’s speciality is it’s conifer garden. Fiona from Electric Daisy Flower Farm combined the aromatic greenery with colourful wildflowers to create the coolest chandeliers hanging from the roof of the barn and an abundant archway framing the lake. She also made the wreath for Helen’s horse which was such a delight, he even managed not to eat (too much of) it!
